Domenico Tedesco appointed head coach of Fenerbahce

Italian specialist Domenico Tedesco has been appointed as the head coach of Turkey's Fenerbahce football club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

This was reported by the NTV Spor portal. According to sources, a presentation of the new coach is planned to be held in the coming days.

Earlier, it was announced that Zinedine Zidane's candidacy for this position was rejected. After that, Tedesco was considered the main candidate.

This vacancy arose after Jose Mourinho was dismissed. The Portuguese coach was criticized for being eliminated from the Champions League competition.

Tedesco previously managed Moscow's Spartak and Germany's RB Leipzig clubs. From 2023 to 2025, he coached the Belgian national team.

In addition to Fenerbahce, his name was also linked with the Nottingham club. Domenico Tedesco aims to work successfully with his new team, relying on his experience and skills.

His activity is regarded as an important development for Turkish football.
