Former “Real Madrid” and Spain national team footballer Raul Gonsales gave an interview to the Madrid Universal portal. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
During the conversation, he shared memories about his coaching activities with the “Castilla” team, which is the reserve squad of “Real”. According to Raul, he worked with Gonsalo for two seasons and gave him the final push.
Currently, Gonsalo is making good use of this opportunity and is playing well in the main team. Raul considers this period very positive because he has seen the development of many young footballers who are now active in the first division.
Additionally, Raul emphasized that he will return to “Real” either soon or in the more distant future. He likened the club to his home and expressed his desire to be there, saying he will come back when the time comes.
Raul played for “Real” from 1994 to 2010, appearing in a total of 741 matches and scoring 323 goals. For the Spain national team, he played in 102 games and scored 44 goals.
