Luis de la Fuente spoke about Gavi's injury

Spain national team head coach Luis de la Fuente commented on the new injury of Barcelona's midfielder Gavi. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The 21-year-old player has been sidelined indefinitely due to a knee injury. The midfielder may require possible surgery.

Luis de la Fuente said he spoke with Gavi in the morning. He expressed deep regret about the player's condition and mentioned that he is awaiting meniscus surgery.

At the same time, the coach said that Gavi is a strong person and that such difficulties make him even stronger. About two years ago, Gavi injured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during a match with the Spain national team.

Due to this injury, he was unable to play for approximately eleven months. Currently, Gavi has appeared in 28 matches for the national team and scored 5 goals.

It is emphasized that his injury could be a significant loss for the team.
