Luis de la Fuente said he spoke with Gavi in the morning. He expressed deep regret about the player's condition and mentioned that he is awaiting meniscus surgery.
At the same time, the coach said that Gavi is a strong person and that such difficulties make him even stronger. About two years ago, Gavi injured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee during a match with the Spain national team.
Due to this injury, he was unable to play for approximately eleven months. Currently, Gavi has appeared in 28 matches for the national team and scored 5 goals.
