Former German national team player Michael Ballack shared his opinion on Nik Voltemade's transfer. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The German forward moved from the German club Stuttgart to the English team Newcastle. The transfer fee amounted to 90 million euros, with 85 million as the base amount and 5 million as a bonus.
The 23-year-old midfielder also attracted interest from Bayern Munich, but in the end, they did not purchase him. According to Ballack, Bayern had prepared an offer of up to 100 million euros for Virts.
Voltemade's case is different. The club is known for avoiding debt for decades and achieving great successes.
Therefore, Bayern decided not to pay more than 55 million euros in penalties for Voltemade. In their opinion, the player was not worth it.
Last season, Voltemade played 33 matches at the club level, scoring 17 goals and providing 3 assists. These results show that he made a significant contribution to the team.
