The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has decided to postpone making a decision on holding national championship matches in other countries. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This was reported by The Guardian. According to the information, UEFA intends to hold consultations with all interested parties, including fans, on this matter.
A month ago, fans sent a letter to this organization emphasizing that moving matches abroad negatively affects the integrity of the sport and turns clubs into entertainment products separated from their traditions and communities. For this reason, the possibility of holding matches between Villarreal and Barcelona, as well as Milan and Como, in the USA and Australia has become doubtful.
UEFA will further study this issue and make a final decision taking into account the opinions of all parties.
