Famous footballer Edgar Davids, who played for Juventus in past years, learned that his acquaintance Nabila Habibi committed theft. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The ad.nl portal provided information about this. According to the publication, Davids found out several years later that his painting collection had been stolen.
He had entrusted the collection to a trusted person. For a while, Habibi also lived in his house.
While Davids believed the collection was kept in a safe place, Habibi stole 37 paintings, pawned them at various pawnshops, and received approximately 30 thousand euros. In 2017, when Habibi was unable to repay her debts, the pawnshops gained the right to sell the paintings.
One of the buyers saw Davids' name on the back of a painting and contacted him through social networks. After that, Davids filed a lawsuit.
Habibi admitted to the theft. Earlier, she had faced problems related to criminal cases and had left her acquaintance after taking 3500 euros from him.
