One of the most famous strikers in Real's history, Karim Benzema, left the Madrid club in the summer of 2023 to join Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad, as reported by sports.uz.
The 36-year-old footballer explained why he left Spain's most prestigious club:
– “Why did I leave Real? Because I achieved all my goals there. I came to Real as a young boy and now I leave it as a holder of several trophies and the Ballon d'Or. Through this team, all my dreams came true,” said Benzema.
Karim Benzema joined Al-Ittihad as a free agent. His contract will last until the summer of 2026.
This season, the French striker has played 25 times in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 8 assists.
