Monaco defeated Oserni in a tough match
In the fourth round of the League 1, the "Monaco" team played a tough match against "Auxerre". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
At the beginning of the game, Danny Namaso moved from the left wing towards the center and took a low shot from 18 meters, but the ball did not pass near the goalkeeper's goal. Folarin Balogun received a pass from Miki Biertan on the left wing and directed a powerful shot from 15 meters towards the goal.
Lassin Sinayoko collided with the goalkeeper from the center and played to the left, but the defender took the ball from him. Seku Mara took a high-level shot from 23 meters, but the goalkeeper saved the ball.
Josue Casimir engaged in a one-on-one duel with the goalkeeper from the left wing and took a shot from seven meters, but the ball hit the near goalpost. In the 45th minute, Balogun failed to control the ball in the penalty area, but the ball returned conveniently to Takumi Minamino, who scored from ten meters – 0:1.
In the second half, Kayyo made a long pass from the left wing to the far post, but Biertan's header was weak, and the goalkeeper caught the ball. In the 68th minute, Casimir stopped Paris Brunner in front of the penalty area, received a second yellow card, and was sent off.
Soon after, a cross came from the left corner, Namaso made a strong pass to the center, and the ball, rebounding off the defender's foot, went into the goal – 1:1. Fredrik Oppegord slightly pushed Denis Zakaria from behind in the penalty area, but the referee reviewed the video and did not award a penalty.
In the 88th minute, Wanderson made a cross from the right wing, and George Ilenikena headed a precise shot into the goal – 1:2. Namaso made a pass from the left wing to Ibrahim Osman in the center, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
"Auxerre" shares the third position from the bottom of the table with three points, while "Monaco" leads with nine points. Today, Aleksandr Golovin was not included in the team lineup.
