Slot explained Isak's absence in the match against Burnley

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot announced that the Reds' forward Alexander Isak will not play in the fourth round of the English Premier League against Burnley. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Swedish new player was not included in the squad for this match. According to the coach, Isak did not participate in training sessions with Newcastle, then went to the national team and played only 15-20 minutes on the field.

Therefore, it was considered more beneficial for him to have a full week of training instead of playing five to ten minutes each time. Slot also stated that Isak will participate in the Champions League match against Atlético Madrid.

Recall that Isak became Liverpool's most expensive transfer this summer. The club paid Newcastle 145 million euros for the forward.
