Former footballer Kiki Musampa, who played for the Dutch club Ajax and the English club Manchester City, has been arrested in the Netherlands on suspicion of financial fraud. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It was found that he failed to pay approximately 100 thousand euros in taxes to the state budget. During a search of his home, a collection of valuable watches was also discovered.
Musampa played in Ajax's main squad in the mid-1990s and won the Champions League with the club in 1995. However, he only joined the main team after star players were sold.
In 1997, he left Ajax and later played for Malaga and Atletico in Spain, and for Manchester City in England. Throughout his career, Musampa was known for his playing skills.
Investigations regarding the current situation are ongoing.
