Flik explained the reason for not starting Rafinha

Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick explained the decision not to field forward Rafinha Dias in the starting lineup. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Brazilian player started the match against Valencia on Sunday from the bench and came on after the break, replacing debutant Runi Bardiji. During the game, the 28-year-old forward scored twice.

The match ended with a big victory for the Catalans – 6:0. Before the game, media outlets circulated reports that Flick had excluded Rafinha from the starting lineup as a punishment for being late.

However, the coach denied such information. According to him, it was a technical decision, and Runi was chosen for the starting lineup because he performed very well in training and had an excellent attitude towards work.
