Serik Belediyespor's head coach Sergey Yuran was named the best coach in the fifth round of the national championship's first division. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Under Yuran's leadership, the team was the only one to win an away game in this round. The Serik team defeated Igdır 2-1.
According to the coach, in the fifth round they were the only team to secure an away victory. Additionally, two players were included in the symbolic national team, and Yuran himself was recognized as the best coach of the round.
He emphasized that this is a small but encouraging achievement and stated that they will continue their work. According to him, the trip was difficult because the city is located near the border with Armenia and the road was complicated.
Moreover, the local club is managed by a regional billionaire who has made significant investments in the team, aiming to see his team among the elite of Turkish football. Sergey Yuran was appointed head coach of Serik in the summer of 2025.
Following this event, a portion of the club's shares was purchased by Tufan Sadigov, former investor of the Khimki team near Moscow.
