Nick Voltemade's transfer from Stuttgart to Newcastle became one of the most unexpected transfers of the current season. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Now the financial details of this deal have been disclosed. According to the Sport BILD publication, the main transfer fee amounts to 85 million euros, but the payments are made in three separate annual installments.
Additionally, the contract includes bonus payments for the German club. If Newcastle wins the Premier League, Stuttgart will receive 2 million euros.
The same amount will also be paid if Newcastle wins the Champions League. If the team reaches the semifinals and Voltemade plays at least 60 percent of the time on the field, Stuttgart will receive 1 million euros.
Furthermore, Newcastle will pay 500 thousand euros for the Premier League top scorer title. In turn, the player signed a contract worth up to eight million euros per year.
Earlier, Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeness had expressed doubts about Voltemade's price. However, a week later, Nick scored a goal in his debut match for Newcastle and proved his value.
