Flick asked Deka to bring Rashford to Barcelona

Hans-Dieter Flick, the head coach of Barcelona, recalled how he tried to attract Marcus Rashford to the team during the summer transfer window. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Catalan club loaned the English winger from Manchester United in July. On Thursday, the 27-year-old player made his debut in the "blue and garnet" kit and scored twice.

His double helped the team secure a 2-1 victory over Newcastle in the first round of the Champions League group stage. According to Flick, he asked the club director Dek to bring such a player in the summer and is very pleased with Rashford being in the team.

Additionally, the loan agreement includes an option to make Marcus Rashford's transfer permanent.
