The match marked the second consecutive success for the Serik team, a result that allowed the team to take seventh place in the tournament standings. Yuran noted that in the first half, the team managed to score one goal and had several other opportunities.
In the second half, they had to focus more on defense, but the team had at least two chances to increase the score. Most importantly, he said, was finishing the game with a victory.
The match ended with a 2:1 score in favor of Serik Belediyespor. The seventh place in the tournament standings grants the team the right to participate in the promotion playoffs for the Super League.
Earlier, it was reported that the team was facing financial difficulties. It was revealed that part of the club's shares belongs to Tufan Sadygov, a former investor of the Himki team near Moscow.
