Alonso: It may have been too early to substitute Vinicius

Real head coach Xabi Alonso commented on the decision to substitute Vinicius Junior in the match against Espanyol. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The Brazilian player started the game in the starting lineup and left the field in the 77th minute. According to Alonso, today he just lacked scoring a goal.

Therefore, in order to strengthen control of the game in defense and attack lines, it was decided to substitute the wingers. He and Franco played well, but the team's play required more control.

The coach also noted that the timing of the substitution might have been correct or possibly a bit early. Currently, Real leads the championship, having secured all 15 points.
