Mikel Merino, the midfielder of London’s Arsenal team, shared his thoughts on Manchester City’s chances in the current season of the English Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, Manchester City is still competing for the championship and there is a long way ahead this season. Merino emphasized that after two defeats, some people say the team has dropped out of the title race, but these opinions are exaggerated.

He noted that it is still the beginning of the season and Manchester City has yet to show its full strength. On Sunday, Arsenal will host Manchester City for the fifth round match.

This match will start at 18:30 Moscow time. Currently, after four games, Arsenal has collected 9 points, while Manchester City has 6 points.

Thus, Merino expects the competition between the teams to intensify and the fight for the championship to be exciting.
