Real Madrid's defender Daniyel Carvajal commented on leaving the field during the first round of the Champions League group stage match against Marseille. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The footballer received a red card for heading the French goalkeeper. Carvajal apologized for the incident in an interview with journalists.
He emphasized that such a situation is unacceptable both for the game and from a personal point of view. He also stated that such mistakes will not be repeated in the future.
The team, however, put in great effort and managed to win the match. Carvajal has not scored in the four La Liga matches he has played this season.
Real currently leads the Spanish championship table with 15 points.
