Luis Enrique: Team captains are chosen by the players themselves

The head coach of the French club Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique, commented on Ashraf Hakimi's vice-captaincy of the team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, captains are always chosen by the players, and he has never personally appointed a captain. The coach stated that information about other issues arising within the team will not be disclosed.

If additional information emerges, it will be possible to discuss it separately. Also, in August this year, the prosecutor's office filed a request to the court seeking up to 15 years imprisonment for Ashraf Hakimi.

The footballer, who is a member of the Morocco national team, is accused of sexual assault. The investigation into this case has been ongoing for over two years.

Luis Enrique emphasized that he does not associate this matter with the internal affairs of the team. He strives to preserve the reputation of his team and stated that the court proceedings must be respected.
