Former striker Adrian Mutu, who played for the Italian club Fiorentina, spoke about how Russian forward Aleksandr Kokorin was received at the club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Although Kokorin played for Fiorentina for three years, he rarely appeared on the field. Mutu emphasized that he is a very talented footballer and said that the club welcomed him like their own child.
“When he arrived, everyone thought he had great talent. I also believe so,” Mutu said in an interview with Sport24.ru.
At the same time, the Romanian footballer said that only Kokorin himself can know the reasons for his poor performance in the Italian team. Fiorentina occasionally loaned Kokorin to the Cypriot club Aris, and later he transferred to that team permanently.
