Real president canceled the Ballon d'Or for the club

Three players from the Real team – Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, and Jude Bellingham – have been nominated for this award. However, representatives of the Madrid club will not attend the ceremony.

According to anonymous sources cited by The Athletic, the Ballon d'Or award no longer exists for Real staff. The club has stopped mentioning this award on its official channels and social networks.

Sources within Real emphasized that only the club president Florentino Perez could make this decision. In 2024, Real decided at the last minute not to attend the Ballon d'Or award ceremony.

The reason was the spread of information that Rodri might win. According to the Madrid club, the award should have been won by their player.
