Kazan announced two candidates for the "Golden Ball"

Famous commentator Denis Kazanskiy commented on the results of the voting for the "Golden Ball" award. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

This prestigious award was won by Ousmane Dembele. He surpassed Lamin Yamal (second place), Vitinho (third place), and other candidates in the voting.

Kazanskiy stated on his Telegram channel that his interest in the voting had significantly decreased long ago. The commentator recalled that the "Golden Ball" award was regularly given to Lionel Messi.

Nevertheless, he acknowledged that at that time the player's reputation played an important role. According to Kazanskiy, Dembele gained fame after last season, but he doubts that children imitate him or strive to be like him.

He emphasized that he does not express any negative opinion but considers it illogical for the "Golden Ball" award to be given entirely to Dembele. Kazanskiy also expressed his desire to see the "Golden Ball" awarded to goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma or forward Mohamed Salah.

According to him, Donnarumma showed excellent performance throughout the year and is considered the best goalkeeper in the world. Salah, on the other hand, should be recognized as a player who had a real impact on the game.

It is worth recalling that Ousmane Dembele won the French Championship, French Cup, French Super Cup, and Champions League with PSG last season.
