Usman Dembele won the "Ballon d'Or" after 30 years

In 1995, this award was won by George Weah, who represented the Milan club. Additionally, George Weah served as the president of Liberia from 2018 to 2024.

In the voting for the Ballon d'Or, Usmon Dembel was ahead of Lamina Yamal. The young winger from Barcelona took second place.

As the organizers noted, the gap between first and second place was significant. The third place was secured by PSG midfielder Vitinha.

This award is considered a great honor in the football world and is presented annually to the best footballer.
