Former Zenit footballer Denis Ugarov revealed which players in the "blue-white-sky blue" team should get more playing time. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to the expert, the main squad of the Saint Petersburg team should include forwards Aleksandr Sobolev, Mateo Cassierra, Andrey Mostovoy, and Maksim Glushenkov. Additionally, it is important that 17-year-old Zenit winger Vadim Shilov spends at least 30-40 minutes on the field during the game.
Although Ugarov was critical of Sobolev, he emphasized the necessity of him playing in attack alongside Cassierra. He also stated that Mostovoy and Glushenkov must be included in the main lineup.
After the ninth round of the Russian Championship, Zenit is in fifth place in the standings with 16 points. The team needs to improve its performance and give more opportunities to the players in the squad to climb higher in the rankings.
