Syomin evaluated Kvaratskhelia's Ballon d'Or result

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who previously played for the Russian clubs Lokomotiv and Rubin, ranked 12th according to the voting results. The famous coach Yury Syomin, who previously worked with Kvaratskhelia, shared his opinion on the matter.

According to Syomin, Khvicha ranks first in terms of the trophies he has won. Additionally, he is the Italian champion and is considered a key player of the team.

However, many factors were taken into account in the evaluation, and there were many candidates of equal strength. Dembele also showed a bright, interesting, and excellent performance.

Syomin also emphasized that many high-level footballers are deprived of the Ballon d'Or award. As an example, he mentioned Virgil van Dijk, the captain of Liverpool, as a former head coach of Lokomotiv.

According to Syomin, the Dutchman also deserves this prestigious award. Based on the results of the 2024/2025 season, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia became the champion of Italy and France.

During the winter transfer window, he moved from the Georgian club Napoli to PSG.
