Australia may play a friendly match with Argentina

This was reported by the Australian portal The Age. According to the source, on Tuesday many reports spread that Australia was chosen as the opponent for Argentina's friendly match.

The match is planned to take place in November during the international window in the city of Kerala, India. The Australian Football Federation refused to comment on the matter, but sources familiar with the negotiations confirmed that the federation received an offer from a third-party promoter to participate in a match held at the 40,000-seat Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Currently, the agreement has not been finalized. Australians had planned to hold friendly matches at home in November.

These matches were dedicated to celebrating the victory 20 years ago in the World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay. However, so far no teams willing to come to the country have been found.

Also, some major stadiums are booked for concert events. There have been 9 matches between the national teams of Argentina and Australia.
