Robertson: The referee's decision was unfair

«Liverpool» forward Hugo Ekitike received a second yellow card in the match against «Southampton». This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The card was given because he took off his shirt while celebrating the goal. The French player scored in the 85th minute, but his game ended there.

The referee was forced to send off the goal scorer because he had removed his shirt to show it. Despite playing with ten men, the «Reds» maintained their advantage.

The forward’s goal brought victory to the team. Left-back Andrew Robertson commented on the incident: «I would be very surprised if Ekitike does that again.

Perhaps he already forgot that he had a yellow card. He is still young, and this will be an important lesson for him.

I am sure Hugo will not make such a mistake again.» Hugo Ekitike transferred from Frankfurt’s «Eintracht» to «Liverpool» last summer for 95 million euros.
