A dry fish was gifted to the Chernomorets goalkeeper

The fourth round match of the Russian Cup regional stage was held between the teams “Astrakhan” and “Chernomorets” from Novorossiysk. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In this match, the best player was recognized as the Novorossiysk team goalkeeper Mikhail Shtepa. On the occasion of his victory, he was presented with a bundle of dry fish as a gift.

Konstantin Gordiyuk, the general director of the “Chernomorets” team, commented on the gift. He said that although the dry fish was given as a joke, it would have been wrong to return from Astrakhan without fish.

The team members are returning home in good spirits. The final score of the match was a 2:0 victory for the “Chernomorets” team.

Gordiyuk emphasized that in this game, the visiting team's coaches decided to give practice to players who rarely get on the field. He also spoke about the traditional requirements related to dry fish, stressing that the coaches do not allow any leniency regarding adherence to rules and discipline among the players.
