Midfielder Kalvin Phillips last played for Manchester City two years ago. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The team's head coach Josep Guardiola brought the English footballer on from the bench in the final minutes of the EFL Cup match against Huddersfield Town. This game was Phillips' first official appearance for City since he last played in December 2023.

Since then, the midfielder has been loaned out twice, playing for West Ham and Ipswich clubs. Manchester City purchased Kalvin Phillips from Leeds in July 2022 for 49 million euros.

The footballer will celebrate his 30th birthday this December. Since joining the team, Phillips has been striving to secure his position and now has the opportunity to play in the starting lineup again.
