Moscow “Dynamo” team head coach Valeriy Karpin shared his thoughts after the match against “Krylya Sovetov” on the “Match TV” channel. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
When asked about the difference between the first and second halves, he emphasized that the halves were similar. Karpin said that evaluating the game just by watching it is incorrect.
He acknowledged that more goals were scored and chances created in the first half, but noted that the team created opportunities in both halves. In the second half, the team played calmly and could have finished the game by scoring three goals.
Regarding the reason for conceding two goals, Karpin explained that the situation was simply the opponent putting the ball into the net. When asked why Konstantin Tyukavin did not take the field alongside Ivan Sergeyev, the coach stated that this decision was personal.
He said that although there was usually a prior discussion about who would play, this time it was not the case. Karpin assessed the team's overall play as good but highlighted the problem of not effectively converting goal-scoring opportunities.
He mentioned that many chances were created during the game, but attention needs to be paid to finishing them correctly. He also emphasized that sometimes making extra moves instead of sending the ball with a precise shot complicates the game.
The coach noted that the team must take advantage of situations and decide the game in their favor.
