Defensive Issues Among Russian Premier League Forwards

Former player of the Russian national team and current expert Igor Semshov shared his opinion about the problems among forwards in the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, in our football, forwards often do not put enough effort into defense. In Europe, on the contrary, forwards actively participate in defense as well.

Semshov emphasized that many players think it is not necessary to exert full effort in defense, which negatively affects the overall quality of the team's play. He expressed these views in an interview on the "Match TV" channel.

Currently, the Russian champion is the "Krasnodar" team. This season, the leading team in the Premier League is the team under the management of Murad Musayev.
