Lokomotiv was recognized as the new Russian national team
Football expert Rinat Bilyaletdinov shared his thoughts on Moscow “Lokomotiv” team's trust in Russian players. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that there are almost no foreign players in the “Lokomotiv” squad and therefore the team scores goals specifically through local players. According to the expert, the good performance of Russian players provides a basis to see the team as the new national team.
It is also worth noting that one of the top scorers of the Russian Premier League, midfielder Aleksey Batrakov, is playing for “Lokomotiv”. So far, he has managed to score eight goals in nine matches.
