The official website of the Congolese Football Federation announced this. The national team will play matches against Togo and Sudan in the World Cup qualifying stage.
The matches are scheduled for October 10 and 14. Currently, the Democratic Republic of Congo national team is in second place in the group with 16 points, trailing the Senegal team by 2 points.
Sudan has 12 points, Togo 7, and Mauritania 6 points. The team is currently advancing from the second place in the qualifying stage.
29-year-old Bongonda recently returned to the field after recovering from an injury sustained in the national team. He played for the first time this season on September 13 and had been out of the field for about three months.
