Lawyer Smirnov accused Glushenkov of betting money

Sports16:05, 27-09-2025

Famous Russian lawyer Anton Smirnov, who represents the interests of footballer Vladimir Pisarskiy, expressed critical views regarding Maksim Glushenkov, a player of the Zenit team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to Smirnov, Glushenkov is excessively interested in sports predictions. He emphasized that Glushenkov is involved in betting on matches and stated that this information is accurate.

The lawyer has maintained this opinion so far. Smirnov said he obtained this information from people close to the player.

The 26-year-old forward has scored 4 goals and made 3 assists in 10 club-level matches this season. Additionally, Smirnov previously made a statement about double standards in punishing those involved in betting.

This situation once again reminds us of the importance of honesty and fairness principles in sports. Athletes should focus solely on the game in their activities and ensure transparent and fair competition.
