The tenth round match of the Russian football championship between the teams “Lokomotiv” and “Rubin” took place on September 27. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The match held at the “RJD Arena” stadium in Moscow ended with “Lokomotiv” winning 1:0. The only goal was scored by Dmitriy Barinov in the 78th minute.
During the game, the hosts took the initiative from the start and launched several dangerous attacks on the opponent's goal. However, the “Rubin” team stood firm in defense and complicated the game.
In the first half, the hosts' attack from a set-piece came close but did not result in a goal. At the beginning of the second half, the guests also had several opportunities, but goalkeeper Anton Mitryushkin successfully stopped them.
In the final minutes of the game, due to a mistake by the “Lokomotiv” goalkeeper, Barinov took a long-range shot and the ball went into the net. Thus, “Lokomotiv” ended their series of consecutive draws and achieved a victory.
In the last minutes, the “Rubin” team came close to scoring a goal, but it was disallowed after an offside was detected. With this result, “Lokomotiv” secured an important home victory and strengthened their position in the tournament table.
