Chelsea lost to Brighton at home

However, Trevo Chalobah's sending off brought a new turn to the match. In the early minutes of the game, Enzo Fernandez tried to strike a free kick towards the near corner, but the goalkeeper saved his team.
In the 24th minute, Reece James took the ball from the right wing and, after a pass from Moises Caicedo, delivered an accurate cross to the far corner. Fernandez headed the ball into the goal, putting his team ahead – 1:0.
In the 52nd minute, with the help of the VAR system, the referee sent off Chalobah for a foul against Diego Gomez. Jean-Paul van Hecke gained possession of the ball in front of the opponent's penalty area and took a shot at the goal.
