Famous French specialist Laurent Blanc has been relieved of his position as head coach of Saudi Arabia's "Al-Ittihad" football club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club's press service announced this. The contract with the coach was intended to last until the end of the current season, but the club management decided to terminate the cooperation ahead of schedule.
Blanc's dismissal took place after a 0:2 defeat to the "Al-Nassr" team. It is worth noting that under Blanc's leadership, the team became the champion of Saudi Arabia and won the King's Cup.
Currently, the position of head coach of the "Al-Ittihad" team is being fulfilled by Hassan Khalifa, who worked in the French coaching staff.
