Former Russian national team footballer Denis Glushakov held his farewell match on October 11 and shared his thoughts about Olympic Games winner Nikita Simonyan. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The national football legend is celebrating his 99th birthday today. According to Glushakov, Simonyan still remembers everything at this age, tells jokes, and shares interesting stories.

He emphasized that a film about Simonyan needs to be made. This could serve as an example not only for the Spartak team but also for all football fans.

Nikita Simonyan played as a player for Moscow's Spartak club from 1949 to 1959. Additionally, as a coach, he led Armenia's Ararat team to become the first and only former Soviet Union champion in the club's history.

Simonyan is recognized as a respected figure in the football world.
