Golubovich appointed as Serbia national team coach

Serbian agent Urosh Golubovich gave an exclusive comment to the online publication "Euro-Football.Ru" regarding the dismissal of Dragan Stojkovic as head coach of the Serbia national team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The specialist submitted his resignation after losing to Albania (0:1) in the World Cup qualifying stage. According to Golubovich, the main candidate for the position of head coach of the Serbia national team is Veljko Paunovic.

He is currently available and previously coached Spain's "Oviedo" club and led Serbia's under-19 national team to a world championship. However, Dejan Stankovic has close relations with the president of the Serbian Football Federation.

If he leaves "Spartak" soon, he could be appointed as the head coach of the national team. Currently, the Serbian players have accumulated 7 points after 5 games and are in third place in the qualifying group.
