Mitrofanov: Our communication with the Ministry of Sports is constant

Maksim Mitrofanov, Secretary General of the Russian Football Union, shared his thoughts on the cooperation with the Russian Ministry of Sport and its head Mikhail Degtyaryov. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to him, the goals and objectives set by the minister fully align with the football development program and concept. The Russian Football Union maintains regular contact with the Ministry of Sport, and communication between them is ongoing.

On Degtyaryov's initiative, it is planned to reduce the number of foreign players in clubs of the Russian Premier League in the near future. Additionally, a proposal has been made to the minister to completely ban the participation of foreign players in matches within the Fonbet Cup.

This measure is aimed at serving the national development of football and helping to support local talents. The cooperation between the Russian Football Union and the Ministry of Sport is considered important for achieving more effective results in the field of football.
