Salem al-Dossari named Asia's best footballer

Salem al-Dossari, a player for the Saudi Arabian national team and Al-Hilal club, was awarded the Asian Football Confederation's Player of the Year award. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The AFC's official website announced this. This award is given to players competing in clubs within the Asian region.

The 34-year-old footballer delivered outstanding performances last season. He scored 10 goals in the local Champions League competition and accumulated a total of 30 points in the domestic league through goals and assists.

This statistic includes 15 goals and 15 assists. Additionally, he demonstrated his high level of play at the FIFA Club World Cup.

It should be noted that there is an alternative award given by another organization for all footballers in Asia, whose latest winner on October 13 was South Korean Son Heung-min. Salem al-Dossari ranked sixth in the voting.
