Former Russian national team player Andrey Arshavin commented on the conflict between Usman Ndong and Eduard Spertsyan. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Since the parties reconciled, the disciplinary committee of the Russian Football Union did not consider the racism claim. It was clarified that there were no racial insults.
Arshavin expressed his satisfaction with the reconciliation of the parties and believes that the referee should have shown yellow cards to the players. He said he watched the incident live and emphasized that the referee made a mistake by not sending Ndong off the field.
Spertsyan also acted similarly, but since Ndong was somewhat stronger and taller, the blow that came off his shoulder hit Edik’s face. After the conflict, Usman Ndong was sent off the field, and the "Akhmat" team player was suspended for two matches, one of which is conditional.
This incident once again reminded of the importance of maintaining fairness and discipline on the football field.
