Oleg Kononov has returned to the position of head coach of the "Torpedo" team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
In the first match under the leadership of the new-old coach, the "car factory workers" defeated the "Veles" team 3-0 in the Russian Fonbet Cup. After the game, Kononov shared his thoughts.
According to him, the team had only one training session. The game scheme was changed and clear tasks were assigned to the players.
The players tried to fulfill all the tasks, which led to a good result. The coach also emphasized that there are still many mistakes and special attention will be paid to them.
Currently, "Torpedo" is at the bottom of Russia's second-tier football league – the PARI League. The team has collected only 10 points in 14 rounds.
The next match "Torpedo" will play at home against the "Shinnik" team on Monday, October 20.
