Kuraniy: Legionnaire restriction in Russia is an obstacle to football

Comments from former capital's "Dinamo" team player Kevin Kuraniy regarding the tightening of restrictions on foreign players in the Russian Premier League have been published. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

He emphasized that he has never liked additional restrictions in football. He stated that players want to play freely on the field and that such restrictions only serve as obstacles.

Earlier, it became known that the Russian Ministry of Sport is planning to tighten restrictions on foreign footballers. According to the new rule, it is proposed that there should be five foreign players on the field and up to ten on the roster.

Currently, under the existing rules, a team can have eight foreign players on the field and up to thirteen foreign players on the roster. These changes are expected to be implemented to promote the development of the Russian championship and to create more opportunities for local players.
