Former Lokomotiv club president Nikolay Naumov shared his thoughts on the upcoming derby between Lokomotiv and CSKA in an exclusive interview with the Euro-Football.Ru website. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, it is difficult to identify a clear favorite in the derby, as both teams show varying results in their games. Naumov believes there will be a strong contest in this match and not many goals are expected; the result could be close to a draw.
The main strength of the CSKA team lies in quick transitions to attack and applying high pressure. Lokomotiv, on the other hand, tries to play a disciplined game in the center and aims to receive the opponent in their own quarter of the field with low pressure.
At the same time, the hosts emphasize quick counterattacks. Due to injury, Musayev will not be able to play for CSKA, and Moyzes will also miss the game due to suspension.
Akinfeev’s participation in the match is doubtful. These absences could pose a significant problem for the team.
