The Expert Refereeing Commission of the Russian Football Union (EHK RFU) reviewed two incidents that occurred during the derby between CSKA and Spartak. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The commission's conclusions were published on the official RFU website. The EHK RFU supported the penalty decision awarded to Spartak's goal after the VAR signal by Artyom Chistyakov.
According to the commission, Zhedson Aleandro made careless contact, which affected the CSKA player's opportunity to play the ball. The foul occurred on the penalty area line, that is, inside it.
However, the commission emphasized that the VAR protocol was applied incorrectly. Once the location of the foul was determined, it was not necessary to call the referee to the monitor.
Additionally, the commission supported the referee's decision not to award a penalty to CSKA in the 70th minute, as Enrique Carmo followed the rules and played the ball fairly.
In the match, CSKA defeated Spartak with a score of 3:2.
