Why is the Uzbekistan national team planning a training camp in the UAE? Timur Kapadze answered
The head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Timur Kapadze, shared detailed thoughts on the upcoming training camp of the team. According to him, the "Jebel Ali" sports base in the UAE was chosen as the most convenient option for our national team.

"Initially, we considered several options. Among them were Qatar, the UAE, and even Oman. However, we aimed to go somewhere quickly and adapt to the climate and other conditions. For this purpose, we visited the Emirates and studied the situation carefully. The head of the national teams department and a security specialist also accompanied us on the trip. All necessary information was thoroughly examined," Kapadze said.

According to him, there were two convenient options within the UAE. The first option was located in the capital, Abu Dhabi, while the second option was the "Jebel Ali" base, which is closer to Dubai.

"In the end, we decided on the 'Jebel Ali' sports complex around Dubai. Although this base is located in a desert area, it is remarkable and very convenient in terms of security. There are no tall buildings around the field, and no one can observe during training. This is the biggest advantage for us. The training will be conducted in a closed regime, and external factors will not affect the team's preparation process," the coach explained.

He also emphasized that conducting training in Abu Dhabi is quite challenging due to the many high-rise buildings surrounding the bases.

"There is only a 5-minute journey from the hotel where we will stay to the 'Jebel Ali' sports base. Additionally, the base's infrastructure is at a very high level. It is located about 40 minutes from the city center. This is convenient for us because it allows us to focus solely on training," Kapadze said.

He also explained why the option of a training camp in Oman was rejected:

"There was also an option to conduct training in Oman, but we are much less familiar with this place. We did not have enough information about the conditions. Therefore, we decided to go to the UAE, where we have reliable experience," said the head coach of the national team.

Timur Kapadze added that currently, players arrive at different times, so it is necessary to develop a very thorough training plan. Legionnaires, in particular, players participating in the Turkish championship, will play their last matches in the championship on June 1. This determines their joining date for the camp.

It is worth noting that the Uzbekistan national team aims to prepare seriously for important competitions through the training camp in the UAE.
