Kanchelskis: Matches for the Russian national team will be challenging

Former footballer Andrey Kanchelskis shared his views on the future prospects of the Russian national team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He emphasized that in the coming years, it will be very difficult for the Russian national team to play against European countries' teams. This was reported by euro-football.ru.

According to Kanchelskis, currently no team is ready to play against the Russian national team. He even said that matches with European teams until 2026 are unlikely.

Nevertheless, the Russian Football Union (RFU) must continue negotiations with other federations. Additionally, Kanchelskis noted that the RFU could organize matches not only for national teams but also with strong clubs from Latin America.

In his opinion, this will have a positive impact on the development of Russian football. It is known that the sanctions imposed on the RFU by UEFA and FIFA have been in place for four years.

These restrictions have significantly limited the participation of Russian football on the international stage.
