«Lazio» may give up on Shelderup transfer

Rome's Lazio football club may abandon plans to transfer midfielder Andreas Shelderup, who currently plays for Portugal's Benfica. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This information was reported by the A Bola publication. Earlier, Lazio's management held negotiations with the Norwegian player's representatives and the agreement was close to being finalized.

However, due to Andreas Shelderup's successful participation in the UEFA Champions League match against Madrid's Real club, Benfica's management has increased their interest in extending the player's contract. For this reason, Lazio club anticipates that acquiring Shelderup at a reasonable price will be difficult.

This season, Shelderup has appeared in 26 matches for Benfica, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists. According to Transfermarkt portal data, the player's market value is currently estimated at 14 million euros.
