Uzbekistan futsal team advanced to the quarterfinals

The AFC Futsal Asian Cup is ongoing in Jakarta, Indonesia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the third round of Group “C” matches, the Uzbekistan futsal national team faced Japan and lost 1-2. In the other group match, Tajikistan and Australia played to a 1-1 draw.
As a result of these outcomes, Japan collected 9 points, secured first place in the group, and advanced to the quarterfinals. Uzbekistan, having accumulated 4 points, took second place and earned the opportunity to continue in the tournament.
Tajikistan is third with 2 points, and Australia remains last with 1 point. The Uzbekistan futsal national team will face the first-placed team from Group “D” in the quarterfinals.
Currently, in Group “D,” Iran and Afghanistan futsal teams have each gathered 6 points and will face each other in the final round. After this match, Uzbekistan’s quarterfinal opponent will be determined.
In the match in Jakarta, Uzbekistan opened the scoring. In the 8th minute, Shahram Fakhriddinov scored a goal, putting our team ahead.
However, in the second half, Japan took the initiative. Shoto Yamanaka scored two goals in the 30th and 37th minutes, setting the final score of the match.
Thus, despite the defeat, the Uzbekistan futsal national team advanced to the quarterfinals. Ahead lies a more responsible and challenging match for our team.
